#Inspiration

Sometimes I get asked how I’m able to write, or what makes me write, or what inspires me. Honestly it’s quite hard to say. Perhaps if I really look at myself I have to say it doesn’t take a whole lot.

I’m naturally a creative and extremely sexual person. In my every day life I work at a job that lets me flex my creative muscles, but the canvas on which I’m asked to paint is limited by logic, reason, and above all else; budget.

My rampant sexual desire is something that I’ve had to tend to for quite a long time. I’ve always considered it to be a detriment to my life in general. It hinders me from concentrating when I need to. If I have tasks that need to be done and I’m unsupervised, it’s quite possible for me to day dream off into my own mental erotic movie.

So what inspires me to write? Pretty much everything.

The last short story I wrote, “A Lunchtime Affair” was inspired by a woman I’ve been chatting with online. Now don’t get the wrong idea. When I say inspired, I don’t mean that 90% of the story is based in reality. In fact what created the inspiration was the off hand mention of a new sundress being purchased, the off hand mention of sleeping on the couch instead of a bed, and that’s pretty much it. A couple hours later and 4500 words were written, and now posted.

That’s what it takes for me. That’s all the inspiration that I need. I’m freakish in that way. I can turn anything into innuendo and any small fact into a fantasy if I twist it the right way.

Now; if you’re on this blog you’re likely either someone that enjoys writing, or reading erotic lit. If that’s the case, what inspires you? Feel free to respond. I’m curious as to what normal people experience. =)

  1. I think you know what inspires me. The need to release words that lay heavily on my heart. I am sure myself and some of your other followers would really like to know more about YOU. Enough with the intrigue. We’ve dished ours. Dish up some of yours 🙂 We’re dying of curiosity here. Even if its just one new fact a week…age, status, difficulties, triumphs, partners etc…

    1. Well be prepared to die a little more. I will likely remain, at least for now, a mystery. But my enigma can also be your own entertainment. You don’t know who I am. I could be anyone. Maybe you’ve met me and you don’t know it. You can, at this point, fill any of the details into the empty vessel that is my mysterious existence.

      Today…is a good day to die. 😉

    2. I’ve changed my mind. I think you’re right. I think that perhaps over time I should reveal a little bit of myself. If anything than to establish myself as human and real. I’ll tabulate a series of questions and create a poll to decide which secret truth should be revealed each week. I’ll start this in 2013 giving the possibility of 52 new facts by 2014. Far more than I would like to reveal. lol

      1. I really like the way you think. But it is ‘disturbing’ that you want to reveal so little…it makes me wonder what you could be hiding…first off, I would like to know about what your gravatar means / represents / where it is from. It is a little ‘weird’?

        1. I think my mystery makes you more perturbed then disturbed. You don’t need to know who I am or what my situation, background, etc is but you want to know. The not knowing makes you anxious and curious, but does it change what my writing is like or how it makes you feel? Probably not.

I’m going to compile a list of things I’m willing to reveal and then I’ll let people decide which they’d like to hear first. I like your fact per week idea…it’s a nice tease…and I’m all about teasing 😉

  2. I’ve always written stories, but recently I’ve started writing erotic lit because I find it the easiest way to express my desires and wants. I also write for my long distance boyfriend, and his reactions to it are what motivate me 🙂

  3. Music inspires me. Mix that with a mind that always seems to wander and you get an imagination that runs rapid with no leash. Once I write it down it’s just enough to tame me until the itch returns.

    1. Interesting. Music for me can start the spark but can become distracting while I write. I like writing listening to instrumental jazz or to downtempo trip hop like Portishead, Massive Attack or Morcheeba. =p
